Kara Vautour is a veteran public educator with three decades of classroom experience. As both an educator and a Norwell parent, she brings a uniquely informed perspective and a deep commitment to ensuring our schools remain the foundation of our community's success.  

  • 30 years teaching K-12 students in public schools across New York, Colorado, Connecticut, and Massachusetts

  • Service on key committees including Teacher Negotiations, Academic Standards, Teacher/Administrator Hiring

  • Leadership roles in K-12 Curriculum Development and Implementation

  • Direct experience supporting a Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) new high school project at Marshfield High

  • Norwell Education Foundation Board Member

  • Extensive analysis of Norwell Public Schools data from Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE)

  • Certifications in K-12 Music, Digital Learning/Computer Science, Principal/Vice Principal

Kara is also a long-time Norwell resident, active community volunteer, and a parent with children currently enrolled in the Norwell Public Schools.  She has a proven track record of working collaboratively with families to support student achievement and well-being.
